Premises Licence applications are made to the licensing authority of the relevant council in the area the premise is located. Our licensing experts work with you and apply for your Premises Licence on your behalf.
- Completing the application form for a new premises licence or full variation (including the operating schedule) in accordance with your instructions and submitting this to the local licensing authority alongside suitable plans. You must provide suitable plans
- Submission of application to 8-10 responsible authorities
- Preparing copies of the premises licence application for disclosure to the responsible authorities and serving copies of the application on the responsible authorities.
- Drafting the notices advertising the premises licence application and submitting the notice to the local newspaper.
- Checking the licence once granted and correcting any errors with the licensing authority.
- dealing with or advising you in relation to queries or representations received from either the responsible authorities or other interested parties
- Expert advice during the 28 consultation period
- Free advice and support for one month after licence has been granted
- The application for a new licence must be advertised in a local newspaper. Costs vary considerably by regional publications and can cost from £180 up to £700.
- obtaining suitable plans
- completion of Fire Risk Assessments
- attending pre-consultation meetings with the Licensing Authority or Responsible Authorities, nor their fee for this meeting.
- attendance and representation at a licensing sub-committee hearing of the responsible authority.
- obtaining ‘change of use’ planning consent if applicable
